Tephrabase: historical eruption/tephra search

This form allow searches to be made for tephra layers and eruptions that have occurred between, before, after or in particular years. The years must in YYYY format, i.e. they must be in years AD, for example 1104. Do not try any dates before 870 AD, as there was no one in Iceland recording eruptions!
